Tata Motors, which dominates India’s Electric Vehicle (EV) market, launched the Tata Curvv ICE and EV on Friday, following in the footsteps of the automaker’s strong multi-powertrain strategy. Tata Curvv And Curvv EV : The EV version will be available initially, followed by the ICE equivalent.

Tata has yet to divulge the price of the Curvv, but it is seeking buyers to’register their interest’ in it.

The car will be launched on August 7.

The Curvv comes with strong gasoline and diesel engine options in addition to electric versions that have the longest driving ranges in their class.

The auto major said in a statement that the Curvv’s SUV coupé body style carries over the strong aerodynamic theme, highlighting its strong character to the front and carrying it boldly through the vehicle.

The recently unveiled SUV’s interior is replete with connected car technology, big screens, and cutting-edge infotainment. The Curvv is equipped with a number of clever features that are uncommon in this market and typically seen in cars in higher segments.

Furthermore, the company guarantees that the new SUV is equipped with a multitude of active and passive safety features, all of which are engineered to meet the strictest safety standards.

The higher riding height, robust cladding, and dynamic proportions all add to its appeal. The Curvv’s aggressively sloping roofline allows it to quickly cut through wind resistance, while its wide wheels, high approach and departure angles, and enhanced ground clearance provide a rooted and balanced posture. The SUV coupé will be available in two new colors: Virtual Sunrise in Curvv.ev and Gold Essence in Curvv ICE.

With the goal of serving Indian families, the Curvv’s SUV coupé design features clean and uncluttered interiors that combine the characteristics of an SUV with an impressively spacious cabin while not sacrificing storage as is common in coupé body styles.

“The emphasis on premium appeal is evident in its use of best-in-class technologies in the cabin, as well as a strong yet sophisticated color, material, and finish palette. The panoramic glass canopy allows natural light to flood the cabin, giving the occupants a sense of spaciousness and freedom. Tata Motors, which controls more than 60% of the Indian electric car market, has announced an ambitious goal to strengthen its position. In FY23, the business sold 64,217 electric vehicles, up 66 percent from 38,728 in the fiscal year 2021-22.
