Samit Dravid, the son of Rahul Dravid, is called up for the India U19 team to play Australia.

Samit Dravid , the son of former India head coach and legendary batsman Rahul Dravid, received his first call-up to the Indian Under-19 team for the multi-format series against Australia Under-19.

The team for the forthcoming multi-format series between Australia Under 19 and India Under 19 was revealed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday, August 31. Both red-ball and white-ball squads included Samit Dravid, the son of former India head coach Rahul Dravid and a great cricketer.

Notably, 18-year-old Samit was recently spotted representing the Mysuru Warriors in the Maharaja T20 Trophy. But the right-hander’s tenure in the league was short lived, as he managed just 82 runs in seven innings with an average of 11.71 and a strikeout percentage of 113.88.

His highest score of the tournament came against Gulbarga Mystics where he scored 33 (24) with the help of four fours and a six. Meanwhile, apart from him, Uttar Pradesh’s Mohamed Amaan will be seen leading the One-Day squad in the upcoming series while Soham Patwardhan will be seen leading the team in the four-day matches.

Notably, on September 21, 23, and 26 in Puducherry, India U-19 will play three 50-over matches against Australia U-19. These will be followed by two four-day matches in Chennai starting on September 30.
