Apple Inc. will hold its ‘glowtime’ special event today on September 9 and the tech giant is expected to launch its new iPhone 16 series and Apple Watch Series 10.
Apple is expected to reveal the release dates for its upcoming software updates, alongside the hardware announcements. These include macOS Sequoia, iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2.

When & Where to Watch Apple iPhone 16 launch
The Apple’s special event will be held as usual at Apple Cupertino Park in California. It will kick off with a global audience tuning in virtually. Apple’s “It’s Glowtime” event is set for today, i.e., Monday, September 9, at 10:30 PM IST (10:00 AM PDT).

What Price Can We Expect?
Apple is expected to manufacture the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max in India, according to a Bloomberg report. As such, most audiences are hoping for a price cut in the retail price of these devices in the country.
The premium iPhone models’ local assembly might lead to a price cut of up to 10 percent for the new iPhone 16 Pro models.
What Specs Can We Look Forward To?
- Larger display: The display would be larger than its predecessors. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to come with a 6.3-inch (up from 6.1-inch) and 6.9-inch (up from 6.7-inch) display.
- Thinner bezels: Apple is using a new Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology for the iPhone 16 Pro models, which might result in slimmer bezels as compared to last year’s Pro models.
- Processor: The iPhone 16 Pro models will have the A18 Pro chipsets. Meanwhile, the standard variants of the iPhone 16 are likely to be powered by the A18 chipset having a lower clock speed.
- New Colour: The phones might be available in a fresh palette of colors, including green, pink, blue, black, and white. Rumors also suggest that Apple could add a new shade of brownish to the iPhone 16 Pro series, which would be called Desert Titanium. Other leaks say that they could also add a new Gold colour option this year.
- Camera: The iPhone 16 Pro Max might also be featuring an improved 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The tetraprism telephoto lens of the predecessor iPhone 15 Pro Max might be retained.
- Battery: The device could be powered by a battery of 4,676mAh.
- Storage: Unlike the 128GB variant similar to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is likely to start with a base storage of 256GB.
