Internationally, Devara also made a mark. In North America alone, the film earned $2.8 million from premiere shows, outpacing both Beetlejuice and Transformers One, which collectively grossed $2.5 million.
Directed by Kortala Siva, the film marks Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Telugu film debuts, with an ensemble cast lead by Jr NTR. The movie’s success has been largely attributed to its stunning visuals and strong performances. Forecasts indicate that Devara may surpass ₹250 crore this weekend, solidifying its reputation in the regional film industry even more.
With minimal impending competition, the film’s consistent performance puts it in a strong position to rule the box office despite the opposition, especially in the Telugu-speaking areas. If Devara can continue to gain traction through positive audience feedback and word-of-mouth, that will be the real test.
