According to early estimates, the box office collection of GOAT made about ₹43 crores on Day 1. In Tamil, the Day 1 collection of the movie Goat is ₹38.3 crores, in Hindi ₹1.7 crores, and in Telugu ₹3 crores. On Thursday, its Tamil occupancy rate was 76.23% overall.

The 1st half of GOAT is very engaging. The director cleverly builds the stage for a superb surprising interval block. Before the movie ends, there is a ton of family drama and intense action in several missions across the globe. After the interval, the film begins with a battle between Gandhi and Sanjay, with a fast-paced screenplay.
After seeing the movie you clearly feel that Venkat Prabhu, the director of GOAT is a huge fan of Thalapathy Vijay. This is not to argue that the movie doesn’t have any lags, but Vijay’s outstanding performance and the vast ensemble cast help you overlook them.
