Hstrash Incident Report Update : Bhole Baba Satsang Live: Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, has declared a judicial investigation into the tragic stampede that occurred in Hathras, claiming the lives of 121 people, six of whom were from other states: four from Rajasthan, one from Madhya Pradesh, and one from Haryana. In order to guarantee a comprehensive investigation into the incident and determine whether it was a conspiracy or who was responsible, retired administration and police officials will be involved in the probe.
- Adityanath emphasized that the government would make every effort to ensure that similar incidents do not happen again by saying, “We will ensure such incidents do not occur in the future.” He stated that in order to guarantee tighter safety regulations and better management, a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) would be established to direct the planning of events of a similar nature. “We’ll make sure of it,” he continued.
- In a preliminary report to the district magistrate (DM), the Sikandra Rau sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) stated that the stampede was brought on by the chaos that resulted from the godman’s security pushing Narayan Sakaar Hari’s followers, and that a “slippery slope” made matters worse. The report also mentioned the presence of the SDM at the location at the time of the incident, who had given permission for the’satsang’ (religious congregation).
- According to the report, “The satsang pandal was filled with over two lakh people. About 12:30 p.m., Shri Narayan Sakar Hari (Bhole Baba) arrived at the Satsang Pantal, and the program lasted for an hour.”
