Teaser/Trailer for Thunderbolts: Florence Pugh’s Mission Launches Her Villain Arc

Marvel enthusiasts unite, for we have some exciting news. The first look at director Jake Schreier’s upcoming superhero movie Thunderbolts was released on Monday, September 23. The film, starring David Harbour, Florence Pugh, and Sebastian Stan, will be released on May 2, 2025. Sebastian portrays the part of Bucky Barnes, and Florence plays Yelena Belova. David is going to play Red Guardian/Alexei Shostakov.

The plot of Thunderbolts revolves around a group of reformed criminals assembled by the US government to carry out secret operations. Wyatt Russell, Lewis Pullman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Olga Kurylenko, and Hannah John-Kamen are also involved in the project.

Yelena Belova confesses to her father Alexei Shostakov in the teaser trailer that she feels empty. “I feel empty, like there’s something wrong with me. She says, “I don’t have a purpose; I’m just drifting.” Yelena discovers that someone wants them all dead as she and the other misfits end up locked in a place that resembles a vault. Yelena acknowledges that “everyone here has done bad things,” then goes on to point out the wrongdoings committed by the other villains who have changed.

Although Louis-Dreyfus’ character is raised with the idea that there are good and bad guys, the voice in the background explains that, in actuality, “there are bad guys, and there are worse guys.” And not a single thing more.

With its thrilling action scenes, gunfights, and explosions, Thunderbolts is sure to keep audiences glued to their televisions. Based on Kurt Busiek’s critically renowned comic book of the same name, the action-adventure game. Scarlett Johansson, Brian Chapek, Jason Tamez, and Louis D’Esposito serve as executive producers alongside Kevin Feige, who is the film’s producer. The screenplay for the movie was written by Lee Sung Jin, Joanna Calo, and Eric Pearson.

Florence Pugh gave fans a sneak peek at her Thunderbolts filming in Atlanta back in March. In a video released by Marvel Studios on Instagram, Florence provided a “sneaky” virtual tour. She disclosed her superhero outfit as well.

Florence Pugh is also set for the release of John Crowley’s We Live in Time, alongside Andrew Garfield. The rom-com will premiere on the big screens on October 11.
